Lowcountry percussion festival...

The first implementation of the Lowcountry Percussion Festival took place in November 2015. This day long festival included All-state solo group lessons and clinics, masterclasses, mock auditions, and performances by the Charleston Southern University Percussion Ensemble and Dr. Haldeman, all geared towards the 90+ local middle school and high school percussionists who were in attendance. The event was sponsored by Innovative Percussion, Beetle Percussion, and Evans Drumheads.

The second festival will take place in either November or December 2016. More information concerning a date for the festival and guest artists will be posted here once these are confirmed.

The Lowcountry Flute and Percussion Project was formed by Charleston based flutist John Samuel Roper and percussionist Dr. Michael Haldeman. They have performed at the 2011 Piccolo Spoleto Festival, the Annual National Flute Association Conference in 2012, and frequent the local music scene in Charleston.

Please contact Michael to inquire about the LCFPP performing at your venue, or giving a masterclass/clinic at your school.
